The proceeds from this annual event go to scholarships for
area high school seniors in memory of Darlene Marihugh. The Cruz-In is held each
July and JACE sponsors the music (our favorite DJ's
Double Exposure), one of several parking
lots for the entry cars, plaques for the winners, the printing and design of
signs and flyers, and a kids coloring contest.
2009's event was bigger and better featuring over 100 hot
rods, customs, muscle cars & classics. There were huge door prize giveaways,
award picks for 16 cars, and a raffle for a custom '32 Ford Pedal Car. This year
over $2100 was raised for high school scholarships this year.
2008's scholarship recipient was Mikaela Lindley of Port
Angeles High School, who received $2000 to continue her education.
